Working at height
Working at height
Falls are one of the most common serious accidents in the workplace. Often this is due to a lack of attention. Ceilings, edges and recesses in floors are classic areas where accidents occur.
Work at height is understood as work where measures are taken to prevent falls to a lower level, or where a methodology is used to perform work in otherwise difficult-to-reach places at height. Examples of this are fall protection and access techniques (industrial climbing). Norway has 2 specific Norwegian standards for how to perform this – NS 9600 Access techniques and NS 9610 Falls protection.
